Edward Richkind

Edward Richkind specializes in real estate investment analysis and construction management. With over 25 years of experience in finance, real estate, construction and architecture, he brings a wide range of technical, operational and construction services experience to diverse client requirements. His work focuses on financial presentations, planning, design and construction of projects ranging from small commercial renovations to large-scale housing developments and high-rise construction administration.

Mr. Richkind has worked in senior level capacities at various national and regional real estate investment and consulting firms, such as Jones Lang LaSalle, Equis and Metropolitan Life Real Estate Investments. At Jones Lang LaSalle, Mr. Richkind led the Tenant Improvements team at the Ziggurat, a 10-story landmark building in West Sacramento, California. Successful completion of this $13,600,000 project brought considerable economic savings to the building’s lessor, First Union/Wachovia Bank. Mr. Richkind was a corporate real estate advisor with Equis, where he led program management activities in their Northern California region. He was responsible for attracting America Online to Equis as a client. Earlier, Mr. Richkind managed the physical aspects of Metropolitan Life Real Estate Investments’ debt and equity portfolio in twelve western states. Mr. Richkind has completed San Francisco projects for Kaplan Education, Equity Office Properties and Aon.

Additionally, he has worked in consulting capacities for a wide range of firms throughout his career, including developers (Armax, Venture Corporation and Emerald Fund), real estate advisors (RREEF, SKS and Daman Raike) and construction advisors (PCA Consulting Group). He developed his expertise in architecture in the offices of Moshe Safdie and Associates, Skimore Owings and Merrill, MBT and RMW.

Mr. Richkind holds a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Architecture from the University of California at Berkeley and a Bachelor of Arts degree in American studies from Brandeis University. Mr. Richkind has lent his skills to assist the efforts of non-profits in the San Francisco Bay Area including American Conservatory Theater, Lick-Wilmerding High School, and Marin Country Day School. He lives in San Francisco with his wife and two children.
