Mark Miller

Mr. Miller has been organizing new businesses and partnerships for many years, including Western Peaks as well as co-founding his first commercial mortgage banking firm in 1988. For twenty five years, his focus has been commercial mortgage banking and real estate.

 

Shortly after graduating from the University of California, Berkeley, Mr. Miller joined a large California land ownership and development company as a junior land use planner and then became a financial and joint venture development analyst with a large U.S. life insurance company. 


He has successfully originated, underwritten, and funded hundreds of properties and projects, large and small, cumulatively worth over Two Billion Dollars throughout California and the Nation. His projects ranged from $1,000,000 to $90,000,000.

He has organized over three dozen partnerships that have controlled over $200,000,000 of real estate debt and equity.

Mr. Miller has been employed by some of the most sophisticated financial institutions and private equity firms in the United States, such as Wells Fargo Realty Finance, Inc., Bear Stearns & Co., Inc., Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, Bechtel Investments, Inc. in addition to the Southern Pacific Development Company. As a mortgage banker, he has represented numerous commercial banks, life insurance companies and other credit providers.

Mr. Miller, a native San Franciscan, has travelled extensively throughout the State, the Country and the World and has been a leader in many community and civic organizations.
